"You just have to take that first step"

Jacob before and after

What does it take to make that first step? What is it that gets you to the point of realising that enough is enough?

Whatever that thing was for me, I can't pin point it exactly. What I can tell you is what it feels like walking into P2P for the first time when you have let yourself go (and I mean really let yourself go). I was nervous, excited, self conscious, a little ashamed and embarrassed, but I did it anyway! I walked in and within days, with the support of the P2P community, I was hooked and I had changed my attitude.

I knew that this was the place for me. It is fun, addictive, supportive, and motivational!

I knew that this was the place for me. It is fun, addictive, supportive, and motivational! I was 120kg when I joined P2P in November last year. In such a short space of time, I have achieved so many things and changed my whole life.

Unlike my first session, it's not daunting anymore, it’s exciting. I'm excited to see everyone, I'm excited to see the changes in my body, and I'm excited about pushing myself and continuously setting the bar higher. The ongoing support and encouragement from the P2P community is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Fast forward to the present day and I have made so many new friends, I am more confident in myself, I am fitter, stronger (mentally and physically), and for the first time in a long time I actually feel really good about myself.
